Temps near 60 today for a high and thunderstorms this afternoon. Tomorrow more thunderstorms and temps around 80. Goodby ice!
Here are the views from today out in front of the resort. As you can see we now have open water at the north side of the bay. The bay in Orr is now ice free and warmer weather is in our favor for the upcoming week.
Ice is off Orr Bay on Pelican for the evening of fishing opener.
Welcome to the 2013 Minnesota Fishing Opener. Calling for a chance of snow today and temps in the 20's for lows tonight and tomorrow. Back up to upper 70's by Tuesday and still looking to be ice free by the 18th. Fingers crossed!
The official Minnesota fishing opener is tomorrow and as you can see Pelican is still locked in with ice. Todays high 64 with the low tonight 31.
