Valley Illinois on 7/11/14. The fish was released after the photo! Nice job

Today was the day for slab crappies

Today was the day people were bringing in nice big wall of fame crappies!
All were over 13 inches with the largest one going 14 5/8 inches. Got to
love June crappie fishing on Pelican Lake!!

Here are a couple Aspen Resort Wall of Fame fish from 6/2/14 The
Largemouth Bass was caught by Brian Stone of Noblesville, IN and measured in
at 20 1/2 inches. The Crappie was 13 3/4 inches and was caught by Troy
Peterson of Ames Iowa.

5/31/14 A couple of wall of fame photos from two of the Jendro' s. Lucas is showing off his 10 1/4" sunfish he landed and his older brother Isaiah, not to be outdone landed a 10" sunfish and a 13" crappie.

Happy Mothers Day

Happy mother's day to all the mom's or there. From Aspen Resort.

Docks are in!

With the ice finally leaving Friday and the weather 66°and sunny with light winds for Saturday we were able to get the docks installed. We will be officially opening up Wednesday May 14th, just a few days late due to weather delays.

what a beautiful start to the 2014 fishing season. Time to get the docks put together.

Pelican lake is ice free!

here are two photos from this morning showing Pelican Lake is now ice free.

Thursday morning 5/8/14

With temps in the 40's and rain overnight the ice is still retreating.

Wednesday 5/7/14

The ice is starting to break up and move around. These photos are out in front of our resort in Susan Bay. Calling for thunderstorms tomorrow and warmer temps which will really help with the ice. Still hoping for an ice free Opener on Saturday!
